Mangalam Cement has reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, showcasing notable developments in its performance metrics. The company's evaluation has undergone a revision, reflecting a shift in its score to 8 from -7 over the past three months. The financial data reveals a significant growth in Profit Before Tax less Other Income (PBT), which reached Rs 13.67 crore, marking an impressive increase compared to the average of the previous four quarters. Additionally, the Operating Profit to Interest ratio has reached its highest level in five quarters at 2.82 times, indicating an enhanced capacity to manage interest obligations. Profit After Tax (PAT) also showed a positive trend, growing to Rs 16.91 crore, while net sales peaked at Rs 502.90 crore, the highest in the last five quarters.
However, there are areas of concern. The interest expense has risen to Rs 19.17 crore, the highest in five quarters, suggesting increased borrowing. Furthermore, a substantial portion of the Profit Before Tax is derived from non-operating income, which raises questions about the sustainability of the business model.
