Mangalore Refinery Reports Strong Profit Growth Amid Declining Net Sales in Q3 FY24-25
Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals (MRPL) has released its financial results for the third quarter of FY24-25, highlighting notable developments in its performance metrics. The company's Profit Before Tax (PBT) reached Rs 441.14 crore, reflecting a substantial growth compared to the average PBT of Rs 315.91 crore over the previous four quarters. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) also demonstrated positive movement, amounting to Rs 309.30 crore, which is higher than the average PAT of Rs 228.05 crore from the last four quarters.In contrast, MRPL's net sales reported a figure of Rs 21,870.86 crore, which is lower than the average net sales of Rs 24,552.66 crore in the previous four quarters. This marks the lowest net sales recorded in the last five quarters, indicating a shift in sales dynamics. Additionally, the company's Debtors Turnover Ratio has decreased to 24.58 times, the lowest observed in the last five half-yearly periods, suggesting a change in the efficiency of settling its debtors.
