Mercury EV-Tech Reports Strong Sales Growth Amid Profitability Challenges in March 2025
Mercury EV-Tech, a small-cap player in the automobile industry, has released its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025. The results indicate a notable shift in the company's evaluation, with the score adjusting to 18 from 35 over the past three months.The financial data reveals that Mercury EV-Tech achieved net sales of Rs 30.68 crore, reflecting a significant growth rate of 102.3% compared to the average net sales of Rs 15.16 crore from the previous four quarters. This positive sales trend suggests a strong near-term performance in revenue generation.
Conversely, the company faced challenges in profitability metrics. The profit before tax less other income (PBT) recorded a decline to Rs -1.50 crore, marking a substantial shift from the average PBT of Rs 2.09 crore over the last four quarters. Additionally, the operating profit reached its lowest point in five quarters at Rs -0.87 crore, indicating a negative trend in operational efficiency. The profit after tax (PAT) also saw a decrease to Rs 1.55 crore, down 6.1% from the previous average.
Furthermore, the company reported a high level of non-operating income, which constituted 209.49% of the profit before tax, raising concerns about the sustainability of its income sources.
