N R Agarwal Industries has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, revealing a complex picture of performance within the paper, forest, and jute products industry. The company has experienced a notable adjustment in its evaluation, with its score shifting to -8 from -13 over the past three months.

On a positive note, N R Agarwal Industries achieved its highest quarterly net sales in the last five quarters, reaching Rs 465.74 crore. This figure represents a significant growth of 29.3% compared to the average net sales of the previous four quarters, indicating a favorable near-term sales trend.

Conversely, several challenges are evident in the financial results. The interest expense for the nine-month period has surged to Rs 47.67 crore, reflecting a substantial increase of 131.18% over the preceding nine months, which suggests heightened borrowing costs. Additionally, the profit after tax (PAT) has declined sharply to Rs -6.82 crore, marking a significant downturn compared to the average PAT of Rs 10.03 crore from the previous four quarters. The operating profit margin has also reached its lowest point at 5.94%, indicating a decline in operational efficiency. Furthermore, earnings per share (EPS) have fallen to Rs -4.01, highlighting a decrease in profitability for shareholders.
