NCC Reports Strong Operating Profit and EPS Growth Amid Rising Interest Expenses in May 2025

NCC, a midcap player in the construction industry, has reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, with the announcement made on May 15, 2025. The company has experienced a notable adjustment in its evaluation, with its score rising to 3 from 1 over the past three months.
The financial results reveal several positive trends for NCC. The operating profit (PBDIT) reached Rs 556.31 crore, marking the highest level in the last five quarters, indicating a favorable near-term trend in operating profit. Additionally, the operating profit margin improved to 9.07%, reflecting enhanced efficiency within the company. Profit after tax (PAT) also showed growth, recorded at Rs 253.82 crore, which is a 22.8% increase compared to the average PAT of the previous four quarters. Furthermore, earnings per share (EPS) reached Rs 4.04, the highest in the last five quarters, suggesting increased profitability for shareholders.

Conversely, the financial results also highlight some challenges. Interest expenses rose to Rs 192.56 crore, the highest in five quarters, indicating a potential increase in borrowings. Additionally, non-operating income reached Rs 58.48 crore, but this increase may not be sustainable in the long term.
