New Delhi Television (NDTV), a smallcap company in the TV broadcasting and software industry, recently declared its financial results for the quarter ending September 2024. According to MarketsMOJO, a leading financial analysis platform, the stock call for NDTV is ‘Strong Sell’.

The company’s financial performance for the quarter has been negative, with a score of -18, showing a slight improvement from -25 in the last three months. However, there are some positive aspects to NDTV’s financials. The net sales for the quarter were the highest in the last five quarters, at Rs 111.32 crore, and the near-term sales trend is positive.

On the other hand, there are some areas where NDTV’s financials are not performing well. The Profit Before Tax less Other Income (PBT) for the quarter was at Rs -53.35 crore, showing a significant decline of -2652.63% Year on Year (YoY). The near-term trend for PBT is very negative. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter was at Rs -52.77 crore, showing a decline of -992.9% YoY. The near-term trend for PAT is also very negative.

The company’s operating cash flow for the year was at its lowest, at Rs -67.59 crore, and has been falling each year for the last three years. This indicates a decline in cash revenues from business operations. Additionally, the interest cost for the quarter was at Rs 4.06 crore, showing a growth of 31.82% Quarter on Quarter (QoQ). This signifies increased borrowings for the company.

Overall, NDTV’s financial performance for the quarter ending September 2024 has been negative, with a decline in profitability and increasing interest costs. The company’s stock call of ‘Strong Sell’ by MarketsMOJO suggests caution for investors.
