NTPC Green Energy Reports Strong Profit Growth Amid Concerns Over Non-Operating Income in March 2025
NTPC Green Energy has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, showcasing notable developments within its operations. The company recorded a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of Rs 141.17 crore, reflecting a significant growth compared to the average of the previous four quarters. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) reached Rs 205.12 crore, indicating a strong upward trend in profitability.The operating profit metrics also highlight a robust performance, with the Operating Profit to Interest ratio reaching its highest level in five quarters at 2.93 times. This suggests an enhanced capacity to manage interest obligations effectively. Additionally, net sales peaked at Rs 548.64 crore, marking the highest figure in the last five quarters, while the Operating Profit (PBDIT) also reached a record Rs 471.57 crore.
However, the financial results also reveal areas of concern. Non-operating income constituted 49.39% of the PBT, with a notable increase to Rs 137.76 crore, raising questions about the sustainability of this income source.
In light of these developments, NTPC Green Energy has undergone an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting the current financial landscape.
