Parag Milk Foods Reports Highest Sales and Profit Metrics Amid Rising Interest Expenses

Parag Milk Foods has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, revealing a mix of trends within its performance metrics. The company achieved its highest net sales in the last five quarters, reaching Rs 884.72 crore, indicating a positive near-term sales trend. Additionally, the operating profit also peaked at Rs 73.47 crore, with an operating profit margin of 8.30%, reflecting improved efficiency.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) and Profit After Tax (PAT) both reached their highest levels in the past five quarters, at Rs 31.63 crore and Rs 36.07 crore, respectively. This suggests a favorable trend in profitability, with earnings per share (EPS) also hitting Rs 3.03, showcasing enhanced earnings for shareholders.

However, the financial results also highlight challenges, particularly with interest expenses, which have risen to Rs 25.76 crore, marking a notable increase. This uptick in interest costs may indicate a rise in borrowings, which could impact future financial flexibility.
