PCBL Chemical, a midcap player in the carbon black industry, has reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025. The company has experienced notable shifts in its financial metrics, leading to an adjustment in its evaluation score, which has moved to -10 from -9 over the past three months.

On a positive note, net sales for the nine-month period reached Rs 6,260.69 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 23.43%. This indicates a favorable near-term sales trend for the company. However, the financial results also reveal challenges. Profit Before Tax less Other Income (PBT) for the quarter stood at Rs 106.36 crore, marking a decline compared to the average PBT of the previous four quarters. Similarly, Profit After Tax (PAT) was reported at Rs 100.16 crore, also showing a decrease relative to past performance.

Additionally, the company recorded its lowest operating profit in the last five quarters at Rs 297.66 crore, with an operating profit margin of 14.26%, indicating a decline in efficiency. The interest expense has risen to Rs 339.80 crore, suggesting increased borrowings.
