Pearl Polymers Reports December 2024 Results: Sales Growth Amid Profitability Challenges

Pearl Polymers has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, revealing a complex picture of its performance. The company recorded net sales of Rs 10.42 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 36.39%, indicating a positive trend in near-term sales. However, this growth is contrasted by significant challenges in profitability metrics.
The Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter was reported at Rs -2.22 crore, marking a substantial decline compared to the average PAT of the previous four quarters. This trend is echoed in the operating profit, which reached its lowest point in the last five quarters at Rs -1.80 crore. Similarly, the Profit Before Tax (PBT) also hit a low of Rs -1.94 crore during the same period. Earnings per Share (EPS) fell to Rs -1.32, further highlighting the declining profitability and reduced earnings for shareholders.

Additionally, the company’s cash and cash equivalents stood at Rs 0.89 crore, the lowest in the last six half-yearly periods, indicating a deterioration in short-term liquidity. These results have led to an adjustment in evaluation for Pearl Polymers, reflecting the challenges faced in the current financial landscape.
