Peninsula Land Reports Declining Financial Metrics Amid Rising Interest Expenses in March 2025

Peninsula Land, a small-cap player in the realty sector, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025. The results indicate a challenging period for the company, with notable declines in key financial metrics. The score has seen an adjustment in evaluation, moving to -23 from -33 over the past three months.
The Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the quarter stands at Rs -16.38 crore, reflecting a significant shift compared to the average PBT of the previous four quarters. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) has also shown a decline, recorded at Rs -16.88 crore, which is markedly lower than the average PAT from the prior quarters.

Interest expenses have risen to Rs 39.00 crore, indicating an increase in borrowings, while net sales have decreased to Rs 63.09 crore, falling short of the previous quarter's average. Additionally, the earnings per share (EPS) have reached their lowest point in five quarters at Rs -0.87, suggesting a decline in profitability. However, non-operating income has peaked at Rs 7.93 crore, although this increase may not be sustainable in the long term.
