Polycab India Reports Flat Q3 Performance Amid Strong Half-Year Sales Growth

Polycab India has released its financial results for the third quarter of FY24-25, showcasing a flat performance relative to earlier periods. The company has experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting shifts in its overall assessment.
On a positive note, Polycab India reported net sales of Rs 10,724.48 crore for the half-year, which represents a year-on-year growth of 25.31%. This growth indicates a favorable near-term sales trend for the company. Additionally, the operating profit margin reached its highest level in the last five quarters at 13.78%, suggesting enhanced operational efficiency.

Conversely, the company is encountering challenges. Its cash and cash equivalents have fallen to Rs 343.49 crore, the lowest level in the last six half-year periods, raising concerns regarding short-term liquidity. Moreover, the debtors turnover ratio has declined to 8.61 times, marking the lowest in the last five half-year periods, which may imply a slowdown in the pace of settling debts.
