The company achieved its highest operating profit in five quarters, while profit after tax declined and earnings per share reached a five-quarter low, indicating challenges in profitability and debt management.
Prakash Pipes, a small-cap player in the plastic products industry, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024. The results indicate a flat financial performance for Q3 FY24-25, with notable adjustments in its evaluation. The score has shifted to -2 from a previous score of 5 over the last three months.On a positive note, the company achieved its highest operating profit (PBDIT) in the last five quarters, reaching Rs 35.82 crore. Similarly, profit before tax (PBT) also marked a peak at Rs 30.86 crore during the same period, suggesting a favorable near-term trend in these areas.
Conversely, the financials reveal challenges as well. Profit after tax (PAT) has recorded a decline, standing at Rs 23.11 crore, which is a decrease of 5.9% compared to the average PAT of the previous four quarters. Additionally, earnings per share (EPS) have reached their lowest point in five quarters at Rs 9.66, indicating a reduction in profitability for shareholders. The debtors turnover ratio has also hit a low of 7.58 times, reflecting a slower pace in settling debts.
