Privi Speciality Chemicals Reports Mixed Financial Results with Strong Profit Growth and Liquidity Concerns in December 2024

Privi Speciality Chemicals has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, showcasing a mix of positive developments and areas of concern. The company's Profit After Tax (PAT) for the half-year reached Rs 89.10 crore, reflecting a significant year-on-year growth of 50.33%. This upward trend is complemented by a robust Operating Profit to Interest ratio, which stands at 5.19 times, indicating an enhanced capacity to manage interest obligations.
Additionally, Privi Speciality Chemicals achieved its highest quarterly Operating Profit (PBDIT) at Rs 112.82 crore, marking consistent growth over the last five quarters. However, the company faces challenges, particularly in its cash and cash equivalents, which have fallen to Rs 18.19 crore, the lowest in the last six half-yearly periods, indicating a decline in short-term liquidity.
