Rail Vikas Nigam has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, revealing notable challenges within its operations. The company's net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 3,908.77 crore, reflecting a significant decline compared to the average of the previous four quarters, which was Rs 4,980.75 crore. This downward trend in sales is indicative of broader difficulties the company is facing.Profit Before Tax less Other Income (PBT) also showed a concerning shift, with a reported figure of Rs -54.78 crore, contrasting sharply with the average PBT of Rs 162.56 crore from the prior four quarters. Similarly, Profit After Tax (PAT) decreased to Rs 134.53 crore, down from an average of Rs 320.35 crore, highlighting a substantial reduction in profitability.
The operating profit margin has reached its lowest point in five quarters at 1.35%, suggesting a decline in operational efficiency. Additionally, the earnings per share (EPS) fell to Rs 0.65, marking a decrease in shareholder earnings.
