Reliance Power Reports Significant Profit Growth and Improved Liquidity in June 2025 Results

Reliance Power, a prominent player in the power industry, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025. The results indicate a notable shift in the company's financial landscape, with the Profit After Tax (PAT) reaching Rs 44.68 crore, reflecting a significant growth compared to the average PAT of the previous four quarters, which stood at Rs -37.03 crore. This positive trend in PAT suggests a favorable near-term outlook for the company.
Additionally, Reliance Power has achieved its highest cash and cash equivalents in the last six half-yearly periods, totaling Rs 973.37 crore, indicating an improvement in short-term liquidity. The company has also recorded its lowest debt-equity ratio at 0.93 times over the last five half-yearly periods, showcasing a reduction in borrowing relative to equity capital. Furthermore, the Debtors Turnover Ratio has reached its peak at 4.98 times, highlighting the company's efficiency in settling its debtors.

However, it is important to note that the company's non-operating income constitutes 193.26% of its Profit Before Tax (PBT), raising concerns about the sustainability of its business model.

In light of these developments, Reliance Power has undergone an adjustment in its evaluation.
