Salzer Electronics Reports Strong Q3 Growth Amid Rising Debt and Slower Receivables Turnover

Salzer Electronics, a small-cap player in the capital goods industry, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024. The company has demonstrated a positive trajectory in several key areas, particularly in its Profit After Tax (PAT), which reached Rs 42.06 crore, reflecting a significant year-on-year growth of 82.55%. Additionally, Salzer Electronics achieved its highest quarterly Operating Profit (PBDIT) at Rs 35.99 crore, marking consistent growth over the last five quarters. Net Sales also showed a robust performance, amounting to Rs 341.46 crore, with a year-on-year increase of 26.30%.
However, the company faces challenges as well. The Operating Profit to Interest ratio has reached its lowest point in the last five quarters at 3.41 times, indicating potential difficulties in managing interest obligations. Furthermore, the Debtors Turnover Ratio has declined to 3.41 times, suggesting a slower pace in settling receivables. The Debt-Equity Ratio has also risen to 0.68 times, indicating an increase in borrowing to support operations, which may impact liquidity.

In light of these developments, Salzer Electronics has experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, with its score reflecting recent changes.
