Sayaji Industries has reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, highlighting improvements in operating profit and margins. However, the company faces challenges with rising interest expenses, declining cash reserves, and an increased debt-equity ratio, indicating a heavier reliance on debt for operations.
Sayaji Industries, a microcap player in the FMCG sector, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024. The company has experienced a notable adjustment in its evaluation, with its score shifting to 0 from -12 over the past three months.

The financial data reveals several positive trends for Sayaji Industries. The operating profit to interest ratio has reached its highest level in the last five quarters at 1.42 times, indicating an enhanced ability to manage interest payments. Additionally, the operating profit (PBDIT) has also peaked at Rs 7.19 crore, suggesting a favorable near-term trend in profitability. The operating profit margin has improved to 2.67%, reflecting greater efficiency in operations. Furthermore, the profit before tax less other income (PBT) has shown a positive trend, recorded at Rs -1.99 crore, the best in the last five quarters.

Conversely, there are challenges as well. The interest expense has risen to Rs 5.06 crore, marking the highest level in five quarters, which may indicate increased borrowings. The cash and cash equivalents have dropped to Rs 0.62 crore, the lowest in the last six half-yearly periods, suggesting a decline in short-term liquidity. Additionally, the debt-equity ratio has reached 1.96 times, the highest in the last five half-yearly periods, indicating a heavier reliance on debt for funding operations. The debtors turnover ratio has also decreased to 10.50 times, the lowest in the last six half-yearly periods, pointing to a slower pace in settling receivables.
