SBI Cards Reports Record Sales Amid Declining Profitability Concerns in March 2025 Results
SBI Cards & Payment Services has reported its highest quarterly net sales of Rs 4,673.95 crore for the quarter ending March 2025, reflecting consistent growth. However, the Profit After Tax (PAT) for the past six months declined by 24.27%, raising concerns about profitability and the sustainability of non-operating income.
SBI Cards & Payment Services has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, revealing a mix of performance indicators. The company, operating within the Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) sector, has achieved its highest quarterly net sales at Rs 4,673.95 crore, marking consistent growth over the last five quarters. This positive trend in sales reflects a robust near-term outlook for the company. However, the financial results also highlight challenges. The Profit After Tax (PAT) for the latest six months stands at Rs 917.41 crore, showing a year-on-year decline of 24.27%. This indicates a negative trend in PAT, which may raise concerns about the company's profitability moving forward. Additionally, while non-operating income reached its highest level at Rs 157.79 crore in the last five quarters, there are questions regarding the sustainability of this income derived from non-business activities.
In light of these developments, SBI Cards has experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, with its score shifting to -2 from -14 over the past three months.
