Senco Gold Reports December 2024 Results: Strong Sales Growth Amid Profitability Challenges

Senco Gold, a midcap player in the Diamond & Gold Jewellery industry, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024. The results indicate a notable shift in the company's evaluation, with the score adjusting to -6 from -7 over the past three months.
The financial data reveals that Senco Gold achieved net sales of Rs 2,102.55 crore, marking a significant growth of 47.7% compared to the average net sales of the previous four quarters, which stood at Rs 1,423.47 crore. This quarter's sales figure is the highest recorded in the last five quarters, suggesting a positive near-term sales trend.

However, the company faced challenges in profitability metrics. Profit Before Tax (PBT) was reported at Rs 32.94 crore, reflecting a decline of 44.3% against the average PBT of Rs 59.13 crore from the previous four quarters. Similarly, Profit After Tax (PAT) decreased to Rs 33.48 crore, down 34.6% from an average of Rs 51.22 crore in the prior periods. Additionally, interest expenses for the nine-month period rose to Rs 98.72 crore, indicating increased borrowings.
