SEPC has reported mixed financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, showing significant growth in Profit Before Tax and Profit After Tax, alongside a rise in Earnings per Share. However, net sales declined notably, and increased interest costs raise concerns about the sustainability of its financial performance.
SEPC, a small-cap player in the construction industry, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025. The results indicate a mixed performance, leading to an adjustment in its evaluation score, which has shifted from 9 to 8 over the past three months.

On the positive side, SEPC has demonstrated significant growth in Profit Before Tax (PBT), which reached Rs 1.71 crore, marking a notable increase compared to the previous four quarters' average of Rs -2.07 crore. Similarly, Profit After Tax (PAT) has also shown growth, standing at Rs 10.02 crore, a 23.2% rise over the average PAT of Rs 8.13 crore from the last four quarters. Additionally, the Earnings per Share (EPS) has reached its highest level in five quarters at Rs 0.06, reflecting improved profitability for shareholders.

Conversely, the company faced challenges with net sales, which fell to Rs 117.80 crore, a decline of 24.9% compared to the previous four quarters' average of Rs 156.92 crore. This marks the lowest net sales figure in the last five quarters. Furthermore, the rising interest costs, now at Rs 12.31 crore, indicate increased borrowings, while a significant portion of the PBT is derived from non-operating income, raising concerns about sustainability.
