SG Mart Reports Mixed Financial Results, Highlights Growth Amid Operational Challenges in March 2025

SG Mart, a small-cap player in the construction industry, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025. The results indicate a mixed performance, leading to an adjustment in its evaluation score, which has shifted to 13 from 21 over the past three months.
On the positive side, SG Mart's Profit After Tax (PAT) for the latest six months stands at Rs 61.18 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 20.58%. Additionally, the company reported net sales of Rs 1,595.03 crore for the quarter, marking a year-on-year increase of 24.85%. Furthermore, the operating profit (PBDIT) reached its highest level in the last five quarters at Rs 37.07 crore, suggesting a favorable near-term trend in operational efficiency.

Conversely, challenges remain evident in SG Mart's financials. The Profit Before Tax (PBT), excluding other income, recorded a decline of 5.35% year-on-year, indicating a negative near-term trend. Moreover, a significant portion of the company's income, 47.04% of PBT, is derived from non-operating sources, raising concerns about the sustainability of its business model.
