Shakti Pumps Reports Strong Q3 FY24-25 Results Amid Rising Interest Expenses

Shakti Pumps (India), a midcap player in the compressors and pumps industry, recently reported its financial results for the third quarter of FY24-25, showcasing a very positive performance. The company declared a profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 137.59 crore, reflecting a significant year-on-year growth of 124.34%. Similarly, the profit after tax (PAT) reached Rs 104.05 crore, marking a robust increase of 130.3% compared to the previous year.
Operating profit also reached a record high of Rs 154.42 crore, continuing an upward trend over the last five quarters. Net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 648.77 crore, which is the highest in the last five quarters and represents a year-on-year growth of 30.90%.

However, the financial results also indicate some challenges. Interest expenses have risen to Rs 22.99 crore, up 41.83% from the previous half-year, suggesting increased borrowings. Additionally, the operating profit to interest ratio has reached its lowest point in five quarters at 12.98 times, indicating a shift in the company's ability to manage interest payments.

In light of these developments, Shakti Pumps has experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting the complexities of its financial landscape.
