Shyam Century Ferrous Reports Declining Financial Metrics Amid Operational Challenges in March 2025

Shyam Century Ferrous has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, revealing notable challenges within its operations. The company, operating in the Ferrous Metals industry, has experienced a significant decline in its financial metrics compared to previous periods.
Net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 22.17 crore, reflecting a substantial reduction from the average of Rs 32.94 crore over the last four quarters. This marks the lowest sales figure recorded in the past five quarters, indicating a concerning trend in revenue generation. Additionally, the Profit Before Tax (PBT) was reported at Rs -5.30 crore, which is also a decline from the average PBT of Rs -4.13 crore in the previous four quarters. This figure highlights ongoing difficulties in maintaining profitability.

The Profit After Tax (PAT) for the latest six months was Rs -4.32 crore, showing a year-on-year decline of 24.43%. Furthermore, the operating profit margin reached its lowest point at -17.14%, suggesting a deterioration in operational efficiency. The Earnings per Share (EPS) also fell to Rs -0.21, indicating reduced earnings for shareholders.

In light of these results, Shyam Century Ferrous has undergone an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting the current financial landscape.
