Sobha Reports Strong Financial Results in March 2025, Indicating Improved Profitability and Sales Performance

Sobha, a midcap player in the realty sector, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025. The results indicate a notable shift in the company's financial standing, with a revision in its score reflecting these changes.
The profit before tax less other income (PBT) reached Rs 26.09 crore, showcasing significant growth compared to the previous four quarters, where the average was negative. Similarly, the profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 40.86 crore, marking a substantial increase over the prior average. The operating profit to interest ratio also reached its highest point in five quarters, indicating an enhanced capacity to manage interest obligations.

Net sales for the quarter were recorded at Rs 1,240.62 crore, the highest in the last five quarters, suggesting a positive trend in sales performance. Additionally, earnings per share (EPS) hit Rs 3.82, reflecting improved profitability for shareholders. On the liquidity front, cash and cash equivalents reached Rs 1,808.87 crore, while the debt-equity ratio fell to 0.26 times, indicating a reduction in borrowing relative to equity.

However, it is worth noting that non-operating income constituted a significant portion of the profit before tax, which may raise concerns about the sustainability of the business model.
