Star Cement Reports Strong Profit Growth Amid Rising Debt Concerns in August 2025
Star Cement has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, with the announcement made on August 8, 2025. The company has experienced notable changes in its evaluation, with the score reflecting a shift from -6 to 5 over the past three months.The financial data reveals several positive trends for Star Cement. The Profit Before Tax (PBT) has reached Rs 132.87 crore, marking a significant year-on-year growth of 252.53%. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) stands at Rs 98.45 crore, showing a robust year-on-year increase of 217.2%. Additionally, net sales have also shown a positive trajectory, amounting to Rs 911.99 crore, which represents a year-on-year growth of 21.44%.
However, there are areas of concern as well. The interest expense has risen to Rs 10.16 crore, the highest in the last five quarters, indicating increased borrowings. Furthermore, the debt-equity ratio has reached 0.14 times, the highest in the last five half-yearly periods, suggesting a potential strain on liquidity. The debtors turnover ratio has also declined to 15.85 times, indicating a slower pace in settling receivables.
