T.V. Today Network Reports Flat Q3 Performance Amid Declining Profit and Sales

T.V. Today Network has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending in February 2025. The company, operating within the TV Broadcasting & Software industry, has experienced a flat financial performance for the third quarter of FY24-25. Notably, there has been an adjustment in its evaluation, with the score shifting to -3 from -7 over the past three months.
On the positive side, T.V. Today Network has recorded its highest cash and cash equivalents in the last six half-yearly periods, amounting to Rs 325.37 crore, indicating an improvement in short-term liquidity. However, several challenges persist. The profit before tax, excluding other income, has shown a significant decline, registering at Rs 0.68 crore, which is substantially lower than the average profit before tax of Rs 24.81 crore from the previous four quarters. Additionally, the profit after tax for the half-year stands at Rs 17.00 crore, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 52.96%. The net sales for the quarter have also decreased to Rs 236.76 crore, down 8.4% from the average of the previous four quarters. Furthermore, a high percentage of non-operating income relative to profit before tax raises concerns about the sustainability of the company's business model.
