Tata Communications Reports Mixed Financial Results, Highlighting Sales Growth and Profitability Concerns in March 2025
Tata Communications has released its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, showcasing a mix of performance indicators. The company reported net sales of Rs 5,990.35 crore, marking the highest figure in the last five quarters, suggesting a positive near-term sales trend. Additionally, the profit after tax (PAT) reached Rs 348.20 crore, reflecting a growth of 21.7% compared to the average PAT of the previous four quarters, indicating an upward trajectory in profitability.However, not all aspects of Tata Communications' financials are favorable. The profit before tax less other income (PBT) registered at Rs -12.19 crore, a significant decline compared to the average PBT of Rs 317.59 crore from the previous four quarters. This figure represents the lowest PBT in the last five quarters, highlighting a concerning trend. Furthermore, the company's non-operating income constituted 121.53% of its PBT, raising questions about the sustainability of its income sources.
