Ramco Cements Reports Significant Decline in Financial Metrics Amid Operational Challenges in March 2025

The Ramco Cements has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, revealing notable challenges within its operations. The company has experienced a significant decline in key financial metrics compared to the same period last year. Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the quarter stood at Rs 22.87 crore, reflecting a substantial decrease of 85.81% year-on-year. Similarly, Profit After Tax (PAT) was reported at Rs 21.59 crore, marking an 83.3% decline from the previous year. Additionally, net sales reached Rs 2,397.27 crore, which is down by 10.49% year-on-year. The financial results indicate that a considerable portion of the company's income is derived from non-operating sources, accounting for 35.25% of PBT. This reliance on non-business activities raises concerns regarding the sustainability of its financial model.
