Torrent Power Reports Strong Cash Flow Amid Declining Profits and Sales in June 2025 Results

Torrent Power has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, revealing a range of underlying trends. The company's operating cash flow has reached a notable high of Rs 4,804.91 crore, reflecting consistent growth over the past three years, indicating robust cash generation from its business operations. Additionally, the debt-equity ratio stands at a low of 0.50 times, showcasing a strategic reduction in borrowing relative to equity capital.
However, the financial results also highlight several challenges for Torrent Power. The profit before tax (PBT) has recorded a significant decline, amounting to Rs 880.67 crore, which represents a year-on-year decrease of 28.88%. Similarly, profit after tax (PAT) has fallen to Rs 731.44 crore, down 24.8% year-on-year. Furthermore, net sales have decreased to Rs 7,906.37 crore, reflecting a year-on-year decline of 12.48%. The dividend payout ratio has also reached its lowest point in five years at 32.04%, indicating a reduced distribution of profits as dividends.

In light of these developments, Torrent Power has experienced adjustments in its evaluation, resulting in a revision in its score.
