UltraTech Cement Reports Mixed Financial Results Amid Rising Costs and Slower Inventory Turnover in June 2025

UltraTech Cement has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, revealing a complex picture of performance within the cement and cement products industry. The company has experienced a notable adjustment in its evaluation, with its score improving to -8 from -10 over the past three months.
On the positive side, UltraTech Cement's Profit Before Tax (PBT) reached Rs 2,865.95 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 47.42%. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 2,254.24 crore, marking a year-on-year increase of 34.9%. These figures indicate a favorable near-term trend in profitability.

Conversely, certain challenges are evident in the financial results. The interest expense for the nine-month period has risen significantly, growing by 63.71%, which suggests an increase in borrowings. Additionally, the inventory turnover ratio has declined to its lowest point at 7.80 times over the last five half-yearly periods, indicating a slowdown in the pace of inventory sales. The debt-equity ratio has also reached its highest level at 0.34 times, suggesting increased reliance on borrowing, while the debtors turnover ratio has fallen to 12.66 times, reflecting a slower pace in settling receivables.
