Waaree Renewables Technologies Reports Positive Financial Results for Q1 FY25

Waaree Renewables Technologies, a midcap company in the electric equipment industry, recently announced its financial results for the quarter ending March 2024. The company’s stock has been given a ‘Hold’ call by MarketsMOJO.

According to the financial report, Waaree Renewables has shown a very positive performance in the quarter, with a score of 27 compared to 33 in the previous quarter. This is a significant improvement in just three months.

One of the key factors contributing to this positive performance is the company’s net sales, which have grown by 83.30% year on year to reach Rs 236.35 crore. The sales trend in the near term is also very positive.

Another area of growth for Waaree Renewables is its Profit Before Tax (PBT) less Other Income, which has increased by 152.84% year on year to Rs 36.51 crore. The company’s Profit After Tax (PAT) has also seen a significant growth of 154.5% year on year, reaching Rs 28.30 crore. These trends in PBT and PAT are expected to continue in the near term.

The company’s cash and cash equivalents have also shown improvement, with the highest amount of Rs 120.45 crore in the last six half-yearly periods. This indicates that the company’s short-term liquidity is improving.

However, there are some areas that need attention. The company’s Earnings per Share (EPS) for the quarter is the lowest in the last five quarters, at Rs 2.72. This shows a decline in profitability and lower earnings for shareholders. Additionally, the Non-Operating Income for the quarter is the highest in the last five quarters, at Rs 2.76 crore. While this may seem like a positive, it is important to note that this income is from non-business activities and may not be sustainable.

Overall, Waaree Renewables Technologies has shown a strong financial performance in the quarter ending March 2024, with positive trends in sales, PBT, and PAT. However, the company needs to address its declining profitability and be cautious about non-business income.
