Websol Energy Reports Strong Q3 FY24-25 Results Amid Increased Borrowing Costs

Websol Energy System, a midcap player in the renewable energy sector, recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024. The company has demonstrated very positive financial performance in Q3 FY24-25, although its evaluation has undergone an adjustment, with the score shifting to 23 from 28 over the past three months.
The financial data reveals significant growth in net sales, which reached Rs 290.86 crore, reflecting a remarkable year-on-year increase of 35,808.64%. This trend indicates a robust sales performance, surpassing the previous twelve-month period's sales of Rs 137.28 crore. Additionally, the profit after tax (PAT) for the half-year stood at Rs 83.54 crore, marking a substantial year-on-year growth of 99.09%. This figure also exceeds the PAT of Rs 11.07 crore from the preceding twelve months.

On the operational front, Websol Energy has achieved its highest operating profit to interest ratio at 13.34 times, showcasing an improving capacity to manage interest payments. However, it is noteworthy that interest expenses have risen significantly, with a nine-month figure of Rs 15.49 crore, reflecting a growth of 173.67% over the preceding nine months, indicating increased borrowings.
