Welspun Living Reports Declining Profits Amid Rising Interest Expenses in May 2025 Results

Welspun Living, a midcap player in the Garments & Apparels industry, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025. The results, declared on May 29, 2025, indicate a notable adjustment in evaluation, with the score shifting to -10 from -18 over the past three months.
The financial data reveals that the Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the quarter stands at Rs 165.83 crore, reflecting a decline of 11.5% compared to the average PBT of Rs 187.45 crore from the previous four quarters. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) has also shown a downward trend, recorded at Rs 131.82 crore, which is a decrease of 19.3% against the average PAT of Rs 163.34 crore for the same period.

Additionally, interest expenses for the latest six months have risen to Rs 119.24 crore, marking a growth of 21.39% over the previous half-year period, indicating increased borrowings. These financial results highlight the challenges faced by Welspun Living in the current market environment.
