The index is now just 0.48% shy of its 52-week high of 85,290.06. The advance-decline ratio across the BSE500 was notably strong, with 340 stocks advancing compared to 160 declining, resulting in a ratio of 2.12x.
Mid-cap stocks led the market's upward momentum, with the BSE Mid Cap index rising by 0.62%. Small-cap stocks also showed resilience, gaining 0.59%. Among the top gainers in the BSE500, Narayana Hrudaya surged by 10.58%, followed by Mahindra Scooters at 7.23% and Just Dial at 5.10%. Conversely, Tata Motors PVeh was the top loser, declining by 4.74%, alongside Astral and Inox Wind, which fell by 3.43% and 3.36%, respectively.

Out of 38 sectors, 37 advanced, with the NIFTYPSUBANK sector leading the way with a gain of 1.18%. The NIFTYMETAL sector was the only decliner, marginally down by 0.03%. Overall, the market's performance today reflects a robust bullish sentiment, particularly in mid and small-cap segments.
