The FTSE 100 index experienced a slight decline of 0.26% today, despite a notable increase of 3.65% over the past 30 days. In the large-cap segment, Anglo American Plc emerged as the top performer with a return of 7.25%, while RELX Plc struggled, posting a loss of 14.35%.
In the mid-cap category, Ocado Group Plc led the way with a return of 9.68%, contrasting sharply with WPP Plc, which saw a decline of 11.76%. The small-cap sector was highlighted by Sylvania Platinum Ltd., achieving an 8.25% return, while ASOS Plc faced challenges, recording a loss of 10.76%. Overall, the market's advance-decline ratio stood at 195 advancing stocks against 228 declining stocks, resulting in a ratio of 0.86x. Large-cap stocks showed a more favorable ratio of 1.28x, with 32 stocks advancing compared to 25 declining. However, mid-cap stocks struggled with only 22 advancing against 43 declining, yielding a ratio of 0.51x.
