FTSE 100 Dips 0.32% Despite 1.13x Advance-Decline Ratio; Fresnillo Soars 2.84%
The FTSE 100 index fell by 0.32% today, despite a strong 3.42% gain over the past month. Large-cap stocks struggled, with Fresnillo Plc gaining 2.84% while Diageo Plc dropped 3.66%. Mid-cap stocks also faced challenges, as Quilter Plc rose 1.79% but DCC Plc fell 5.39%. In contrast, small-cap stocks thrived, led by Pan African Resources Plc's 6.25% increase. Overall, the market showed a positive advance-decline ratio of 1.13x, driven primarily by small-cap performance, while large and mid-cap sectors lagged behind.
