Indian Stock Market Sees Mixed Trends, Nifty Closes Below 50DMA

The Indian stock market saw mixed trends today, with the BSE500 index showing a positive advance decline ratio of 1.53x. Mid caps remained flat, while large and small caps showed gains and losses. Akzo Nobel, Elgi Equipments, and Cipla were the top gainers, while Five-Star Bus.Fi, Aditya Birla Cap, and PCBL Ltd were the top losers. Out of 38 sectors, 14 showed positive trends and 24 declined. The Nifty closed with a decline of -0.56%, while the SENSEX closed with a loss of -0.69%. Investors are eagerly waiting for upcoming results and will continue to monitor the market.
The Indian stock market saw mixed trends today, with the BSE500 index showing a positive advance decline ratio of 1.53x. The SMLCAP caps index rose by 1.62%, while the MIDCAP caps index fell by 0.34% and the BSE100 caps index fell by 0.58%.
In terms of top gainers, Akzo Nobel led the pack with a significant increase of 15.22%, followed by Elgi Equipments at 9.69% and Cipla at 9.58%. On the other hand, Five-Star Bus.Fi, Aditya Birla Cap, and PCBL Ltd were the top losers with declines of -6.77%, -5.62%, and -5.18% respectively.
Mid caps remained flat today, while Cipla emerged as the top gainer in the large cap category with a gain of 9.58%. Emami led the mid cap category with a gain of 5.35%, while Akzo Nobel continued to dominate the small cap category with a gain of 15.22%. On the other hand, Tech Mahindra, Aditya Birla Cap, and Mufin Green were the top losers in the large, mid, and small cap categories respectively.
Out of the 38 sectors, 14 sectors showed positive trends while 24 sectors declined. The NIFTYIT sector was the top loser with a decline of -3.03%, while the S&P INDLS sector showed the highest gain of 2.15%.
Investors are eagerly waiting for the upcoming results of Bondada Engineer, Zen Technologies, and K E C Intl. on 1st, 2nd, and 4th November 2024 respectively.
The Nifty closed at 24,205.35 with a decline of -135.5 points (-0.56%). It is currently trading below its 50 Day Moving Average (DMA), while the 50DMA is trading above its 200DMA. The small cap category led the market today with Nifty Small Cap 100 gaining 1.15%.
On the other hand, the SENSEX is trading at 79,389.06 with a loss of -553.12 points (-0.69%).
