The stock market is seeing a mixed trend today, with 15 sectors advancing and 25 sectors declining out of a total of 40 sectors. The top losing sector is NIFTYFINANCE, with a decline of 1.34%, while the top gaining sector is NIFTYPHARMA, with an increase of 0.82%. Investors are eagerly awaiting the upcoming results of three major companies - Muthoot Finance, Godfrey Phillips, and Bharat Dynamics, all scheduled to be announced on 30th May 2024. The mid-cap stocks are trading flat today, while the large-cap stocks are showing some movement. Hindalco Inds. is the top gainer in the large-cap category, with an increase of 4.14%, while Jubilant Food is leading the mid-cap category with a gain of 3.63%. In the small-cap category, Campus Activewe continues to dominate with a significant increase of 16.11%. The Sensex is currently trading at 74,697.85, with a loss of 0.63% or 556.37 points. After opening 343.51 points lower, the Sensex has managed to recover slightly. It is currently 1.76% away from its 52-week high of 76,009.68. The 50-day moving average (DMA) is trading above the 200 DMA, indicating a positive trend. In terms of market caps, small-cap stocks are leading the market with a gain of 0.33%, while mid-cap stocks are facing a decline of 0.26%. This shows that investors are currently more interested in smaller companies rather than the bigger ones. Overall, the market is showing a mixed trend today, with some sectors and stocks performing well while others are facing a decline.
