Market shows mixed trends with small cap sector leading Nifty trading above 50 DMA, BSE500 advances and declines ratio at 1.26x
The market today saw a mixed trend with 19 sectors advancing and 19 sectors declining. The top gaining sector was NIFTYMEDIA with a rise of 1.60%, while the top losing sector was S&P BSE Telecommunication with a decline of 0.86%. The Nifty closed at 25,796.90 with a slight decrease of 0.05%. Despite this, the market is still showing positive signs with Nifty trading above its 50 DMA and the 50 DMA trading above the 200 DMA. The small cap sector is leading the market today, with Nifty Small Cap 100 gaining 0.79%. In terms of advance-decline ratio, BSE500 saw 277 advances and 219 declines. Upcoming results from companies like P N Gadgil Jewe. and T R I L are also being closely watched. In terms of advance-decline ratio, BSE500 saw 277 advances and 219 declines, with a ratio of 1.26x. The SMLCAP and MIDCAP sectors are also showing positive movement, with gains of 0.56% and 0.27% respectively. The BSE100 sector, however, saw a minimal increase of 0.01%.
The top gainers in the BSE500 index were Caplin Point Lab with a rise of 10.13%, followed by BASF India with 8.95% and PB Fintech with 7.03%. On the other hand, the top losers were Phoenix Mills with a decline of 4.66%, Westlife Food with 4.43%, and Sobha with 3.98%.
Investors are also keeping an eye on upcoming results, with P N Gadgil Jewe. set to announce their results on 5th October, followed by T R I L on 8th October and TCS on 10th October.
In terms of large caps, the market was trading flat today. The top gainer in this category was Siemens with a rise of 4.34%. In the mid cap category, PB Fintech continued its positive trend with a gain of 7.03%. The small cap category saw a significant rise with Hercules Hoists gaining 20.47%. On the other hand, Avenue Super saw a decline of 2.94% in the large cap category, while Kamdhenu Venture saw a significant decline of 9.99% in the small cap category.
The SENSEX was also trading with a slight decrease of 0.04% or -33.49 points, currently at 84,266.29. Overall, the market is showing mixed trends with some sectors performing well while others are facing declines. Investors will continue to monitor the market closely for any major changes.
