In terms of market breadth, the advance-decline ratio across the BSE500 was favorable, with 310 stocks advancing compared to 188 declining, indicating a robust market sentiment. The Small Cap segment led the charge, rising by 0.59%, while the BSE100 and MIDCAP indices followed with gains of 0.44% and 0.36%, respectively.

Among the top gainers, Tata Communications surged by 10.24%, followed by Redington at 8.10% and Yes Bank at 7.09%. Conversely, Hindustan Copper was the biggest loser, down 5.40%, with Graphite India and GMDC also facing declines of 4.51% and 3.94%, respectively.

Overall, 32 out of 37 sectors advanced, with the Realty sector leading the gains at 1.72%, while the Nifty Metal sector faced a decline of 0.91%. As the market continues to show resilience, investors are keenly awaiting upcoming earnings reports from major companies like Avenue Supermarts, HCL Technologies, and Tech Mahindra.
