This trend is echoed in the small-cap sector, where 1,360 stocks advanced against 376 that declined, yielding a robust ratio of 3.62x. Conversely, large-cap stocks showed a more modest advance-decline ratio of 1.85x, with 115 advancing and 62 declining.

Among the top performers, Kobe Bussan Co., Ltd. led large-cap stocks with a return of 8.45%, while Advantest Corp. lagged with a decline of 6.42%. In the mid-cap category, JMDC, Inc. rose by 4.93%, while The Japan Steel Works Ltd. fell by 7.9%. Notably, S-Science Co., Ltd. shone in the small-cap sector with an impressive return of 40.98%, while Oncolys BioPharma, Inc. faced a decline of 11.4%.
