SENSEX Dips 0.04% Amid Weak Market; Titan Company Soars 4.20% as Top Gainer

The Indian stock market experienced a slight downturn today, with the SENSEX trading at 81,896.05, reflecting a loss of 30.70 points or 0.04%. After opening nearly flat, the index dipped further to 81,888.51, marking a decrease of 0.05%. The SENSEX remains 2.7% shy of its 52-week high of 84,099.53 and is currently positioned above its 50-day moving average, which is also above the 200-day moving average.The broader market showed a negative trend, with an advance-decline ratio of 170 advances to 329 declines across the BSE500. All major market caps faced declines, with BSE100 down by 0.14%, SMLCAP by 0.21%, and MIDCAP by 0.33%.
Among the top gainers in the BSE500, ITI led with a notable increase of 11.57%, followed by Sonata Software at 6.86% and IFCI at 4.54%. Conversely, KIOCL was the biggest loser, plummeting by 7.29%, with Metropolis Health and Anant Raj also facing significant declines.
In sector performance, the NIFTYIT sector emerged as the top gainer, rising by 1.39%, while the REALTY sector suffered the most, declining by 1.14%.
