SENSEX Dips 0.35% as 3M India Soars 17.74% Amid Market Decline
The Indian stock market faced a decline today, with the SENSEX dropping 296.17 points to 83,682.32, despite remaining close to its 52-week high. The Indian stock market experienced a downturn today, with the SENSEX trading at 83,682.32, reflecting a loss of 296.17 points or 0.35%. After a flat opening, the index fell sharply, reaching a low of 318.32 points. Despite this decline, the SENSEX remains just 1.92% shy of its 52-week high of 85,290.06 and is currently above its 50-day moving average.The broader market showed a significant imbalance, with an advance-decline ratio of 154 advances to 345 declines across the BSE500. Mid-cap stocks fell slightly by 0.08%, while BSE100 and small-cap indices also recorded losses of 0.37% and 0.42%, respectively.
Among the top gainers, 3M India surged by 17.74%, followed by Hitachi Energy at 13.18% and TBO Tek at 9.68%. Conversely, the top losers included Affle 3i, down 4.40%, and Hero MotoCorp, which fell by 4.05%. The NIFTYCPSE sector was the biggest decliner, dropping by 1.42%, while the S&P BSE Telecommunication sector gained 1.12%.
