Large-cap stocks remained largely flat, with Larsen & Toubro emerging as the top gainer in this category, rising by 2.15%. In the mid-cap segment, Ipca Labs gained 1.63%, while the small-cap sector saw RACL Geartech surge by an impressive 17.32%. Conversely, PB Fintech was the largest loser among large caps, dropping by 4.17%, and Laurus Labs fell by 6.51% in the mid-cap space. Hubtown led the small-cap losses, plummeting by 10.68%.

The advance-decline ratio across the BSE500 was stark, with only 50 stocks advancing against 450 declining, reflecting a ratio of 0.11x. Overall, the BSE100, MIDCAP, and SMLCAP indices fell by 1.1%, 1.8%, and 1.93%, respectively.
