The Indian stock market experienced a mixed performance today, with the SENSEX trading at 84,594.23, down by 184.61 points or 0.22%. After opening lower by 153.13 points, the index remains 0.82% shy of its 52-week high of 85,290.06. Despite this decline, the SENSEX has shown resilience, gaining 2.54% over the past three weeks and trading above its 50-day moving average.
Out of 37 sectors, only 9 advanced while 28 declined, with the METAL sector leading the gains at 1.45%. Conversely, the REALTY sector was the top loser, down by 0.94%. The advance-decline ratio across the BSE500 stood at 227 advances to 272 declines.

In terms of individual stocks, TTK Prestige emerged as the top gainer, soaring by 16.87%. Other notable gainers included Kirloskar Oil and IDBI Bank, which rose by 7.41% and 7.28%, respectively. On the downside, Supreme Industries led the losses, falling by 4.42%, followed closely by Bata India and Vodafone Idea, which declined by 4.33% and 3.90%. Small-cap stocks showed some strength, with the BSE Small Cap index rising by 0.14%.
