Despite this gain, the index remains 2.55% shy of its 52-week high of 84,099.53. Notably, the SENSEX is currently above its 50-day moving average, which is also above the 200-day moving average, indicating a potentially bullish trend.
Among the top performers, Titan Company led large caps with a gain of 4.38%, while National Aluminium rose by 3.96% in the mid-cap segment. Eimco Elecon(I) stood out in the small-cap category, surging by 18.94%. Conversely, Power Finance Corporation was the largest loser among large caps, declining by 1.85%, followed by Kaynes Technology and AGI Infra, which fell by 4.01% and 7.09%, respectively.

Sector-wise, the NIFTYIT sector emerged as the top gainer, increasing by 1.68%, while the REALTY sector faced the most significant decline, dropping by 1.35%. Overall, the advance-decline ratio across the BSE500 reflected a challenging day, with 167 stocks advancing against 332 declining.
