SENSEX Recovers Sharply, Small Cap Segment Leads Market with 0.95% Gain

On the other hand, Tata Steel is the top loser in the large cap category with a decline of 3.20%, followed by NMDC with a decline of 3.41% in the mid cap segment and Sharda Motor with a decline of 5.77% in the small cap segment. Investors are eagerly waiting for the upcoming results of TCS, Tata Elxsi, and Indian Renewable on 10th October 2024. Out of the 38 sectors, 21 are advancing while 17 are declining today. The power sector is the top gainer with a 1.48% increase, while the metal sector is the top loser with a decline of 2.79%. After opening lower by 223.44 points, the SENSEX has recovered sharply and is currently trading at 81,357.79, up by 531.23 points or 0.38%. However, the SENSEX is still trading below its 50 Day Moving Average (DMA), while the 50DMA is trading above its 200DMA. The small cap segment is leading the market today with a gain of 0.95% in the BSE Small Cap index. The advance-decline ratio across BSE500 is 367 advances to 129 declines, indicating a positive sentiment in the market. The SMLCAP and MIDCAP segments are also showing a rise of 0.96% and 0.7% respectively, while the BSE100 segment is up by 0.53%. In the BSE500 index, One 97 is the top gainer with a gain of 5.28%, followed by JM Financial with a gain of 4.05% and HFCL with a gain of 4.00%. On the other hand, Caplin Point Lab is the top loser with a decline of 3.87%, followed by NMDC with a decline of 3.41% and Tata Steel with a decline of 3.20%. Overall, the market is being driven by a mix of positive and negative factors, with some sectors and stocks performing well while others are facing a decline.
