The Indian stock market exhibited a positive trend today, with the SENSEX gaining 290.52 points to close at 84,757.03, reflecting an increase of 0.34%. Out of 38 sectors, 27 advanced while 11 declined, showcasing a robust market sentiment. The S&P BSE Telecommunication sector emerged as the top performer, rising by 1.25%, while the BSE CG sector faced a slight setback, declining by 0.43%.
The advance-decline ratio across the BSE500 stood at 242 advances against 254 declines, indicating a competitive trading environment. Notably, the BSE100 and SMLCAP indices rose by 0.31% and 0.1%, respectively, while MIDCAPs saw a marginal increase of 0.04%.

Among the top gainers in the BSE500, Ramkrishna Forging led with a remarkable increase of 7.53%, followed by PG Electroplast at 6.45% and Ashok Leyland at 5.90%. Conversely, Endurance Tech was the biggest loser, plummeting by 8.33%, alongside Cohance Life and Lemon Tree Hotel, which fell by 6.50% and 4.57%, respectively.

As the market continues to show strength, the SENSEX is now just 0.65% away from its 52-week high of 85,290.06, trading above both its 50-day and 200-day moving averages.
