The Indian stock market exhibited a positive trend today, with the SENSEX trading at 84,873.69, reflecting a gain of 245.53 points or 0.29%. The advance-decline ratio across the BSE500 was notably strong, with 321 stocks advancing compared to 176 declining, resulting in a ratio of 1.82x.
Among the major indices, the BSE100, MIDCAP, and SMLCAP all recorded gains of 0.41%, 0.28%, and 0.21%, respectively. The S&P BSE Utilities sector emerged as the top performer, rising by 2.61%, while the NIFTYAUTO sector faced a slight decline of 0.25%.

In terms of individual stock performance, Blue Dart Express led the BSE500 with a remarkable gain of 14.70%, followed by Adani Green at 10.20% and SAIL at 6.58%. On the downside, Cohance Life saw a significant drop of 7.83%, with Motil.Oswal.Fin. and CreditAcc. Gram. also experiencing losses of 7.50% and 5.60%, respectively.

The SENSEX is currently just 0.5% away from its 52-week high of 85,290.06 and has gained 2.87% over the past three weeks, indicating a robust market sentiment.
